13 Killed in Semi Accident on Route 115 in California

An Imperial County truck accident resulted in the death of 13 people and injured a dozen others on Tuesday. Four victims were airlifted to San Diego hospitals while others were airlifted to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs as a result of the truck accident. According to a news story posted to kpbs.org, the accident occurred when a Ford Expedition packed full of people pulled onto Route 115 into the path of a tractor trailer. The driver of the tractor trailer suffered moderate injuries as a result of the accident. The ages of the victims of the accident range from 16 years old all the way to 69-years old for the truck driver.
